Campaign Associate, Jenny whatshername, recruited to my staff
of trusty volunteers during the campaign, canvasses a voter.

Personal appearances by the candidate are essential and
I spoke to an estimated 2000 students during the campaign.

The NSA 'civil servants' start the election count. It took a while to
count all the ballot papers but eventually I was declared duly elected!

Aberdeen associate Alan Martin fixes us up a courtesy meeting with
the University of Aberdeen sabbaticals whilst I, er, take a photo.

This had been the scene in 1999, shaking the hand of Cat MacGregor,
with the incumbant President, Hubert Grealish, looking on, after she defeated me
in that sabbatical election. I had won a solid 35% of the vote, though,
and didn't look quite as drunk as her in the student newspaper photo!
